For three years, the seven poster cases at the Bellevue tram stop in Zurich were the setting for an extraordinary collaboration, featuring a series of pictures that changed monthly. Interested companies and institutions financed the posters, while visual designers received carte blanche for their conception and implementation. The ‘Schöne Aussichten’ project was initiated and organized by Agnès Laube and This Dormann. I was commissioned to photograph Swiss farmers where they work: on the farm. Unusual details and perspectives show the everyday life of the farmers as it is – not romantic, but austere, gripping and in a peculiar way beautiful.
