While wandering around Zurich and other places I photograph flowers and plants. My delight in photography and in ‘beautiful’ images is represented by these pictures. I focus on the subjects, but I deliberately avoid contextualizing them. This also applies to the shots of the mountain in the canton of Valais which I can see from the balcony of a holiday apartment in Grächen. I have been photographing it with my old analogue camera for years, always as if for the first time. This technique seems right to me in this case, because it cannot be rushed. I prefer to take the pictures in bad weather, when the mountain merges with the snow or fog and dissolves into just an idea of a mountain.
